4,000 of us are leaving every week

Fed up of dropping house prices, vanishing mortgage deals and a general feeling of doom and gloom at the moment?

Then why not join the 4,000 Brits a week who are leaving the UK for a new life abroad.

New figures out from the Office of National Statistics reveal that it's the highest number of people leaving in 50 years.

It's mostly professionals and people with skills aged between 25 and 45. And they're leaving for traditional locations, with favourites including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

While some people are being driven away by the high cost of living, just as many are leaving for positive reasons. These include the opportunity for a better career abroad.
