Scotland is the place to be for good house price growth this year
Scotland is tipped for good house price growth
Experts say that property prices are behaving in different ways in the UK's regions at the moment.
While the overall picture is of a decrease, some regions are seeing price falls and others price drops.
One area that is performing well is Scotland – and it's being tipped for a good year of growth.
In 2007 Scottish property prices went up by 13 per cent on average. This year that will grow by one per cent.
That prediction, by estate agency Knight Frank, goes against the -3 per cent prediction for the rest of the UK.
It's thought the best performing properties are middle and lower-priced homes, selling for between £140,000 and £180,000.
