We've got our eyes on property overseas

New statistics looking at what we're searching for on the internet have revealed that UK buyers are very keen on property overseas.

Major search engine Google has released new data from its newly relaunched Google Trends service.

Every time anyone anywhere searches for something on Google, they are anonymously contributing to these figures.

And over the last 12 months, the UK has done the second most number of searches for overseas property. We're beaten only by Ireland.

Overall, property-related searches in the UK as a whole decreased from last year.

But newer overseas property areas such as Dubai and Egypt are bucking that trend, attracting more traffic.

Traditionally popular areas including Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, France and Florida have continued to attract a high level of search traffic.
